Eric Phillips-Horst is a cinematographer and director, and a co-founder of Meerkat Media, an artist collective and worker cooperative in Brooklyn. Specializing in verité documentary, his notable work includes feature films such as DARK MONEY (Amazon Studios, POV), STRAY DOG (PBS Independent Lens) and UNTOUCHABLE (Albert Maysles Directing Award, Tribeca Film Festival 2016).

He has also DP’d episodic series like Debra Granik’s CONBODY VS EVERYBODY (Sundance 2024), Sesame Street’s TALKING ABOUT RACE (Emmy Nominee 2022), and Netflix’s IMMIGRATION NATION (Peabody Award 2020). His short films have been featured on platforms including National Geographic, The New Yorker, and New York Times OpDocs.
